Orange County Area Local Events, News, and Volunteer Opportunities

Upper Newport Bay Events

Newport Bay Naturalists and Friends lead kayak tours every Sunday and canoe tours every Saturday for a moderate fee. This non-profit organization also hosts free campfire programs throughout summer. In cooperation with the Boy Scouts of America, they are also leading twilight canoe tours around the bay and shark camps during the summer. Environmental Management Certificate at UCI Extension

If you're looking for upward mobility in the environmental field or just want to learn more about environmental management, you should look into taking courses or obtaining a Certificate in Environmental Management from UC Irvine Extension. Registration is still open for the winter quarter. For more information, go to www.unex.uci.edu .

Orange County Bolsa Chica Conservancy

BCC needs volunteers on an ongoing basis for monthly non-native vegetation removal and trash collection and removal.
