The High School's Environmental Science Education Program will begin an environmental science education program this fall. This year's theme is "Plastics are Forever." The program will include classroom, laboratory and field components. WEC will help by joining the students during some of their laboratory and field sessions to help guide them in their projects, keep them engaged with the assignments and maybe even provide some real world perspective. We need volunteers. Urte Barker is coordinating the program, so get in touch with her if you want to participate - udbarker@ix.netcom.com.

Specifically, ECHS is also looking for guest lecturers to present information on a variety of topics, including: Chemistry of plastic in the environment, Surface run-off regulations, Economics of managing plastic, Surface run-off control technologies, Plastic recycling and disposal technologies .
